This was the quote from the group that demonstrated against Macy's, one year after the purchase of Marshall Fields. Marshall Fields was like Woolworth was when it vanished. Loved for the quality, name, loyalty, sense of family it created within Chicagoan's. Unlike the rivalry with the White Sox and Cubs Sports teams, between the South and the North sides of the city Marshall Fields was cherished by all. It was iconic and stood proud in the center downtown.

The green and blue are juxtaposed by the complementary red color of the American Flag. It's thick impasto colors almost create a bas relief effect within the painting itself. The grand Chicago skyline can be glimpsed through the taught bars of the clock and the rust drips from clocks attachment point to the old building as if to lament the new owners who have still not done anything with the old Marshall Fields name.
