Painting is reduced due to damage. The damage was caused by the strainer bars. This was an early painting from the artist and he created strainer bars in which there was no pocket causing the gesso to bind to the wood and pucker the canvas. The staples from each mitered corner of strainer bars are also causing canvas strain. THIS CAN BE FIXED BY A PROFESSIONAL RE-MOUNT OF THE CANVAS. THIS REMOUNT CAN BE DONE BY ANY PROFESSIONAL FRAMER.
