Red

Red can excite you, and raises your pulse. In fine art it's associated with passion, love, hell, and the devil. It is very rich and lively but needs a bit of space. In general, when you have a red piece of artwork, or canvas, it should be placed within a neutral color environment, or on an extremely dark wall in order to enhance and complement its intensity, and vibrancy.
